Ohio State Lacrosse Season Preview

The Ohio State Buckeyes are about to set to face off the 2019 campaign with a scrimmage this Friday Jan. 18, 2019 against Hill Academy. Faceoff is set at noon.

The Buckeyes will also scrimmage Robert Morris and then Duke before opening the season Feb. 2, 2019 against Cleveland State at home.

When the 2017 season ended with a heartbreaking loss in the National Championship against Maryland, the Ohio State Buckeyes had high hopes for 2018 even starting the season at 4-0.

The rest of the season did not go as planned. The Buckeyes would finish the season 8-7 overall and 3-2 in Big Ten play.

The Buckeyes would fail to make the NCAA tournament after an early exit in the Big Ten Tournament to Johns Hopkins University.

In 2019 the Ohio State Buckeyes return Tre Leclaire, Jackson Reid and Jack Jasinski which will give a big boost offensively.

Leclaire led the team with 37 points last season, followed by Reid and Jasinski who each accounted for 28 points

Look for the Buckeyes to start the season on high note as they look to try and get back to the NCAA tournament in 2019.
