Despite the bad weather that is coming to the city of Columbus this weekend, the Ohio State Buckeyes are still in action this weekend.
Let’s see what is on tap this weekend for Ohio State athletics.
Men’s Ice Hockey:
The No. 4 Buckeyes travel to State College, Pennsylvania for a two game series against No. 13 Penn State.
The Buckeyes are coming off a series against arch rival Michigan, where they split both games.
The Nittany Lions and Buckeyes played a series in Columbus back in late November. In that series Ohio State lost the opener 4-3 but avenged that loss with a 5-2 victory to close out the series.
Look for the same type of high scoring game when these two teams play. Ohio State should be able to take a 2-1 series lead against Penn State.
The pucks drop Friday night Jan. 18 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday Jan. 19 at 3:00 p.m.
The Ohio State lacrosse team is set for a scrimmage against Robert Morris this Saturday Jan. 19 at 12:00 p.m. as they get ready for the 2019 season.
Look for the Buckeyes to continue to work on their game conditioning before they host No. 5 Duke in a huge scrimmage next Saturday Jan. 26 at noon.
The Buckeyes are coming off a comeback overtime victory Wednesday in State College against Penn State.
Freshman guard Janai Crooms was fantastic in the victory with 27 points.
Crooms and the Buckeyes travel to Ann Arbor to take on Michigan this Sunday Jan. 20 at 3:00 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
The Buckeyes are seeking their fourth straight victory. As for the Wolverines they have dropped two straight.
Look for the battle between the Buckeyes and Wolverines to be an instant classic.
