The Ohio State spring football is set to begin this week and the Buckeyes will be without two key players.
Senior safety Jordan Fuller and junior offensive lineman Thayer Munford. Fuller and Munford will be sidelined for all 15 practices and the spring football game that will take place Saturday April 13, 2019.
Munford suffered a lower body injury in the win against Maryland last season. However the only game Munford missed was the Rose Bowl victory over the University of Washington. In Munford’s absence it will open the door for senior Joshua Alabi, who replaced Munford for the Rose Bowl, to get more reps at left tackle.
Jordan Fuller’s absence leaves opportunities juniors Isaiah Pryor and Jahsen Wint, who both have starting experience, to potentially earn more playing time come this fall. Sophomore Josh Proctor is also another name that could be rumored to get some reps for the Buckeye defense with Fuller missing time.
As spring football gets started look for highly intense practices and position battles to begin.
